• Advised lenders in relation to first and second year financing availed by DME Development Limited (wholly owned subsidiary of NHAI), on a multi-banking arrangement, in relation to the development of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This project is a flagship greenfield project under ‘Bharatmala Pariyojna’ of the Government of India and is going to be India’s longest expressway.
• State Bank of India regarding the financial assistance to Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited for setting up of a rail system in Pune, Maharashtra. The proposed metro line 3 is an important addition to the infrastructure of Pune city as it aims to cater to the highly populated IT Park area.
• JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. in relation to the issuance of debentures by 10 companies within the Greenko Group for refinancing of the debt availed by them for the solar project being undertaken by them. The deal involved creating a synthetic single bond structure using 10 different bonds on a cross-collateralization and common cash pool basis.
• Cube Highways in relation to term loan facility availed by its 9 special purpose vehicles from State Bank of India for development of the projects awarded to them by National Highways Authority of India under TOT-Bundle 3.
• Acted as legal counsel to the consortium of 11 lenders, led by State Bank of India in relation to the implementation of the resolution plan involving one-time restructuring of Hinduja National Power Corporation Limited under the RBI circular on ‘Resolution Framework for COVID-19-related Stress’. This resolution plan is one of the few restructurings implemented till date under the OTR Circular.
• Advised lenders in financing of India’s first national highway project undertaken on Toll, Operate and Transfer (TOT) basis. The deal was the largest financing in the road sector and won several awards including the ASIA-MENA Counsel of the Year
• MMRDA in relation to financing availed for Nagpur Mumbai Super Communication Expressway. Deal was awarded the Project Finance Deal of the Year at IFLR 1000 India Awards 2020.
• State Bank of India and other consortium lenders in relation to a term loan facility provided to Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited. The deal was awarded the ‘Petrochemical Deal of the Year’ by ‘Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards 2021’.
