Smruti Shah

She has been on the lead team on a number of transactions and her responsibilities have included advising on structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of corporate transactions and related documentation and interacting with and making representations to regulatory authorities.

Smruti has been involved in the first ever foreign investment in the aviation sector in the greenfield and brownfield space. She also frequently advises on issues arising under the Indian exchange control regime. She has advised top tier Indian as well as foreign companies, private equity players and the promoters and understands the deal dynamics from the investor’s and the target’s perspective.

Smruti is a core member of Firm’s Germany desk and was seconded with Hengeler Mueller (Frankfurt) for 9 months.
