He is part of the Firm’s General Corporate team and advices on various corporate issues. He further specializes in employee stock options, investigations, director appointments and remunerations, and advice on FDI in retail trading.
Bharath has assisted many multinationals in setting up their business in India, including Global Capability Centres (GCC) of Chevron, National Australian Bank, Lloyds Bank, and other MNCs such as Equinix, Yahoo!, BuzzFeed, Amadeus, TD-Ameritrade, Omnicell, Randstad, Talend and Keshet by incorporation private limited companies, opening branch and liaison offices.
Bharath has advised on various share based benefits schemes, including employee stock options, share purchase schemes, phantom stock schemes, stock appreciation rights and sweat equity schemes. His clients include Infosys, ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Group, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, KKR, Blackstone, Colgate-Palmolive, ABinBev, Zomato, Cars24, Navi Technologies, Indeed, etc.
He has advised many financial investors and strategic investors on their investment in India, including Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, KKR, Apollo Intellegence, Aptuit, Atmel, etc.
Bharath is also part of the core team of the firm’s Corporate Governance Centre, the first of its kind, it is the centrepiece of the Firm’s thought leadership and advisory initiatives in this practice area, advising various stakeholders in the governance space.
