He specialises in advising on M&A transactions in the Banking & Financial Services (BFSI), Pharma and FMCG sectors and has advised clients on a range of transactions including court-based mergers, business / asset transfers, open offer, high value commercial contracts and a significant family settlement, in addition to advising on corporte governance, securities and foreign exchange laws.

• Advised the Godrej Family Members of the family group led by Mr. Adi Godrej and Mr. Nadir Godrej in relation to the family settlement and realignment of ownership interests in various Godrej Group companies (2024).
• Advised Agilent Technologies Inc. on the restructuring of its India operations, as part of its global restructuring of operations (2023).
• Advised the Management Sellers on the ~USD 85 mn sale of 100% equity stake in Oaknet Healthcare to Eris Lifesciences Limited (2022).
• Advised a listed private sector bank on its proposed ~USD 1.5+ bn acquisition of the Indian retail banking business of Citibank NA (2021).
• Advised Warburg Pincus on its ~USD 100 mn minority acquisition in Home First, a housing finance company, from investors (2020).
• Advised a listed private sector bank on its the proposed ~USD 100+ mn acquisition of a Non-Banking Finance Company – Microfinance (2020).
• Advised Wockhardt on the ~USD 260 mn sale of its generic business across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan & Maldives to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (2020).
• Advised Hindustan Unilever (HUL) on the ~USD 4.5 bn merger of GSK Consumer Healthcare business in India into HUL (2018-20).
• Advised a diversified conglomerate on the proposed sale of its nutraceuticals business to an overseas acquirer (2020).
• Advised SSG Capital in connection with a ~USD 1.15 bn co-investment to acquire a minority stake in GMR Airports (2019).
• Advised IndusInd Bank (IBL) on the ~USD 2.4 bn merger of Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited into IBL. This was the largest M&A transaction in the Indian Bank-MFI space (2017-19).
• Advised a listed private sector bank on its proposed ~USD 4.6 bn acquisition of the Indian retail banking business of Deutsche Bank (2018).
• Advised ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, on the regulatory approval process in respect of Warbug Pincus’ ~USD 300 mn acquisition of a 9.9% stake in ICICI Lombard (2017).
• Advised KKR, on the regulatory aspects in respect of its ~USD 115 mn acquisition of Avendus Capital, a diversified financial services platform (2015-16).
